How Precious Nneoma Mbacha plans to inspire young girls if she becomes the winner of the Miss Endowed Contest - October 2026:
If I become Miss Endowed, I want to inspire girls mainly through my voice, my story, and my actions. I want them to know that where they are coming from doesn't determine where they can go. I'd encourage them to believe in themselves, develop their talents, take their education seriously, and confidently pursue their dreams. I also want to create spaces where girls can learn, ask questions, and feel supported, because sometimes, seeing someone who believes in you can give you the courage to believe in yourself.
A challenge Precious Nneoma Mbacha faced in life and she overcame it:
One challenge I faced growing up was academically. In primary school, I didn't consider myself a very bright child, and I often compared myself to my siblings because they were usually the ones being called on stage and celebrated for their academic achievements.
At some point, I realized that constantly comparing myself wasn't going to help me. I made a conscious decision to improve myself. I became more intentional about reading my books, asking questions when I didn't understand something, participating more in school, and also becoming more social and confident.
It wasn't an overnight change, but with consistency and determination, I started seeing a difference in myself and in my academic performance. That experience taught me that you don't have to be the best at something from the beginning. What matters is your willingness to learn, grow, and keep going.
That experience taught me that your starting point does not have to be your final destination.
What Precious Nneoma Mbacha would do if she could change one thing about the world:
If I could change one thing in the world, I would change nepotism and favoritism, because I believe that everyone deserves a fair opportunity to succeed based on their abilities, hard work and character, not simply because of who they know.
The first step I would take is to promote awareness, especially among young people, about the importance of fairness and merit. I would also support systems that make opportunities more transparent, such as clear selection criteria, open applications and proper accountability.
Most importantly, I would lead by example. Whenever I am in a position to give someone an opportunity, I would make sure that the person is chosen based on their ability and potential.
I may not be able to change the whole world by myself, but I believe change begins with the values we practice individually. If we create a culture where people are given opportunities because they deserve them, not because of who they know, we can build a fairer world.
